The challenge here was to design a site for a client with, basically, a two-color identity; black and red. I stuck with a relatively simple layout here, no needless bells or whistles, and featured a handsome maroon primary shade that softly faded into a deep red. The photos on the home page provide a break from the monotony of the single color layout, and worked so well that I decided to feature a similarly mood-setting photo at the top of every page in the site. I really think the page's layout itself is what makes this design work, as it's easy to read and well organized without becoming overly grid-based or segmented. This site was designed during my tenure as Art Director for GravityFree Web Design.
