Another of my favorite designs that will never truly see the light of day. This gorgeous one-of-a-kind vessel was hand-assembled and expertly crafted with an excruciating attention to detail. It was featured in dozens of boating enthusiast-focused magazines and more than a few nationwide publications, as well (Playboy even devoted a full two page spread to it... no, I'm not kidding). When the owner decided to sell, he intended to do so by way of an all-out informational web site. Unfortunately, shortly after these comps were completed, the boat was sold on its own, negating the need for a promotional site.
I love the way this layout shaped up, though, and really just needed to share it. I used every aspect of the boat as an inspiration for the design, from the pattern molded into the seats to the shade and texture of the polished wood exterior, to the beautiful reflective chrome surface that was constantly hidden underneath the water. Even the bullet points in the body copy are meant to refer back to the shape of the boat itself. I really wish I could've seen this one through to completion. This site was designed during my tenure as Art Director for GravityFree Web Design.
