Engage came to me with a freshly-established concept. They'd just finished putting together a beautiful black & white brochure explaining their services, and wanted to translate as much of the visual identity as possible to the web site. I maintained the basic vibe of that booklet - simple blacks, whites and greys with an emphasis on the logo and the photography - but also added a few elements to ease that transition to the internet. I introduced a warm maroon shade as a call to action, for instance, both to liven the page up a tiny bit and to give visitors a better idea of where to go next. I also played around a little more with typography than in the brochure, carrying over the font face but employing a feel that was slightly more playful and appealing, to contrast the serious, strictly business atmosphere of the body copy and basic functionality. This site was designed during my tenure as Art Director for GravityFree Web Design.
