I was excited about this layout at the time, but in hindsight it's not really as great as I initially thought. My big push for this site was to minimize the loud, rainbow color scheme the client has used in most of their promotional materials, focusing instead on the texture of various paper stocks and inks (since Spotlight is a commercial printer). The idea was to change the predominant color (in this instance, the red) every time visitors clicked on a new section of navigation, which would retain the rainbow color palette without literally filling the page with every color under the sun. I still like the little "home" and "client area" icons I made for the upper left hand corner of the page, and I like the way the logo and navigation work on the lower left portion of the page, but this was a little more "out there" than I should've gone for the project. This site was designed during my tenure as Art Director for GravityFree Web Design.
