A quick logo idea I put together for the Laurel Civic Association of Laurel, Florida. We were donating a web site for them and their existing logo was never professionally designed, so this was the first replacement I concocted. It was eventually shot down in favor of another of my concepts, which was notably simpler and more rigid, but I still prefer this one. The Association is basically a goodwill organization, put together to help local familes and children through financially difficult times and to lead these families to financial stability. My original idea was for the blue area to be a photograph of clouds, but it eventually morphed into something much more resembling a stroke of watercolor. The jagged nature of the right half of the mark has always bothered me, but I never really finished this logo's development. This logo was designed during my tenure as Art Director for GravityFree Web Design.
